Steam Update #4 and Xbox Update #2





What’s up Maximum Football community. Today we are launching our 4th update to the Steam Early Access build and 2nd for Xbox Game Preview. This will be our final update of 2024 with our next coming sometime in January of 2025. 

The patch includes:

  • Adjustments for defensive back abilities. With our last patch, we over corrected for the number of tipped interceptions and other weird plays in traffic. This update attempts to rebalance interceptions and limit the number of catches made by receivers in double and triple coverage. 
  • Increase in coin earnings in MPL: We have heard from the start that the current rewards for playing games in MPL made it difficult to accrue enough coins to upgrade players. This patch increases the coin payouts for both online and offline MPL matches. 
  • Changes to depth chart function in Dynasty: Our longterm goal is to implement the depth chart UI from MPL across all of our modes, but for now we have made a short-term adjustment to the way depth charts work in Dynasty mode. This change should make it easier to rearrange your depth chart.

Final Update of 2024

As I said before, this is our final update of 2024. We want to thank everyone who has downloaded the game, left reviews, and given us feedback. The game is better today than it was when we launched back in November thanks to you! 

2025 is going to be a big year for us. We just released our roadmap for the first half of the year. You can check that out here to learn more about what to look forward to.

Detailed Steam Patch Notes

Gameplay

  • Adjustments to defensive back catching abilities and swats to allow for more interceptions and less catches in double and triple coverage. 

Customization

  • Fixed an issue where conference logos were not saving properly on custom teams 
  • Name corrections for jersey patterns, face paints, and other customization items
  • Fixed a crash users would experience when quickly switching between explore pages in custom logos

Rewards

  • Increased coin earnings for online and offline
  • Updated daily rewards to include season XP

Online

  • Fixed a bug where the host would get stuck in the lobby if the client timed out. 
  • Fixed overtime scores on match history

UI

  • Made UI improvements to depth chart in non-MPL modes
  • Fixed a bug where a user would be given menu options as if they were offline when actually connected

Xbox Patch Notes:

  • Added custom logo explorer page. (You will still need to upload logos on the PC build, but you can download them on Xbox).
  • New ping-based matchmaking system.
  • Fixing the visual bug that showed incorrect prices for items in-game.
  • All of the features added in the 3rd Steam Patch.
